Over the past year, Anna has taken on an increasingly important role at McLaughlin Sanchez LLP, combining her trial experience with strong client relationships, strategic case management, and a growing depth of knowledge in California housing law.

Today, she manages full portfolios for three of the firm’s highest-profile clients while continuing to handle complex matters in court, negotiate settlements, and help clients navigate difficult situations with clarity and confidence.

Turning Experience Into Results

Anna came to McLaughlin Sanchez LLP with significant jury trial experience, and that background continues to shape the way she approaches her cases.

Early in her tenure with the firm, Anna won a contested bench trial. Since then, she has successfully handled numerous motions and helped resolve many other matters through negotiation and settlement.

One case in particular illustrates her approach.

Anna inherited a matter that had already been open for nearly a year. After reviewing the case, she changed its strategic direction and began preparing it for a jury trial. That approach positioned the clients to participate in a settlement conference at the earliest available court date.

At the conference, Anna negotiated a move-out agreement that allowed her clients to regain possession of their home.

The outcome demonstrated several of the qualities that have become hallmarks of Anna’s work: preparation, strategic thinking, negotiation, courtroom readiness, and a clear understanding of the result the client ultimately needed.

Stepping Into Complex Client Matters

Another significant accomplishment this year came when Anna helped onboard a large multifamily property management company whose existing cases had been disrupted after its previous law firm went out of business.

Several matters had stalled and required immediate attention.

Anna quickly took responsibility for the cases, evaluated where each stood, and helped move them forward. She was ultimately able to resolve the matters through move-out agreements, giving the new client a path forward after a difficult transition.

Anna has also taken the lead on a substantial group of demolition and redevelopment matters involving dozens of affected units. Those cases will continue into the coming year, with Anna overseeing the strategy and resolution of a large and complicated portfolio.

Contributing Beyond Her Own Caseload

Anna’s impact is not limited to the matters she personally handles.

Within the firm, she mentors newer associates and paralegals and regularly makes herself available to support colleagues. Team members know they can rely on her to provide courtroom coverage, step into a caseload when someone is unavailable, or assist with jury trial preparation.
